This project has been exposed during the Festival Reims Scènes d’Europe #9
at La Comédie de Reims, National Drama Center
From the 29th January to 18th February 2018
Echoing this installation, we wanted to propose another crossing of Europe, musical this time.
A strange journey is a long prose poem written in the chaotic Europe of the post-war period,
leading the Turkish poet Nazim Hikmet to Moscow and Cuba in the midst of the crisis of 1961, while the new political and utopian divides savagely redraw the world.
A reading-concert will be presented on 17th February 2018 at 5 pm at the Comédie studio.

Scènes d’Europe #8
«(...) Julien Allouf imagined, with the scenographer James Brandily, a course on several levels. Visitors discover clichés which, rather than abruptly underline the European crisis, reveal moments of ordinary life. (...) Julien Allouf shows men and women, from very different generations, whose eyes catch us and speak to us. As of March, the photographer will leave again on European roads.»

«(...)Through its objective, misery oozes at the same time as the Mercedes flames, individuals seem tiny at the foot of the skyscrapers. However, men resist, women remain standing, groups struggle. A Europe in movement, a state of things lucid, with a sharp look that opens despite all the scope of possibilities.»
